Gerard
Greetings! My name is Gerard and I am Cosmopolitan Kitchen’s head chef, principle recipe developer, and spontaneous kitchen dancer. My personal mission through Cosmopolitan Kitchen is to provides readers with recipes that not only nourish the body but provide a personal or cultural experience; one that leaves friends and loved ones talking about it for years to come. I enjoy working passionately to provide recipes that leave you feeling informed and capable of tackling each step that leads to the ultimately satisfying dish, never overwhelmed or discouraged.

My cooking style involves either finding recipes online or in one of my 100+ cookbooks that I research extensively before I test it, adapting it to my or my guests preferences as I go, adding a twist here or there – Or, what Brittney often says I am best at, is looking into a fridge or cupboard, grabbing miscellaneous ingredients and working a little magic to come up with my own creations. These are by far the harder ones to document as I am constantly improvising as I go, but when I capture their essence to share with you all it’s a tremendously satisfying feeling.
Brittney
Hello my foodie friends! My name is Brittney and I am Cosmopolitan Kitchen’s lead writer, food-lust photographer, and primary recipe taste-tester (I know, I know.. best job right there)! I adore divine coffee drinks, rich tomato or mushroom soups, sauce-y meats, and pretty much 99% of the meals Gerard shares with me. I, personally, am not as patient a chef as he. When I cook, it’s because I’m craving something specific and am determined to bring it to life. My expertise seems to lie in the realm of seafood: crab bisque, shrimp pesto, almond crusted salmon.

My mission with Cosmopolitan Kitchen is to share the many stories surrounding food that I’ve both experienced with Gerard as well as my family and friends, growing up, travelling, dining out (it’s no secret to anyone who knows us that we love great restaurants). We want to add a dash of culture to our recipes, whether it be in the ingredients themselves, a signature dish, or a piece of knowledge about the language or custom from another country. I also want my photos to convey the mouth-watering nature of the foods that we plate and for you to be inspired to try something new, cook for someone you love, impress a friend or colleague, and build lifelong memories around your meals.
